Any person who is bed or chair confined long term because of a spinal, nerve or muscle related condition, or serious illness, can benefit from the dignity and comfort that Carebidet offers in this most private of human functions. It is also beneficial for short term bed or chair confined people who are recovering from lower extremity fractures. Good for patients that require special post-surgical care or are encountering other situations that render them unable to toilet unassisted.

The Carebidet was designed to be used easily for in-home care for patients who want to remain with their families.

Yes!

Carebidet was designed to work when a user is lying on their back. It will continue to work well if their head is elevated no more than ten (10) degrees, or they are moved no more than thirty (30) degrees on either side. If a user sits at a 90-degree angle, in a motorized wheelchair or hospital chair, the Carebidet should be removed. Once back in bed and laying down, face up, it can be put back on.

If a user has a Body Mass Index that indicates they are morbidly obese or significantly underweight, the Carebidet. At the moment, may not be the best option for them. The Carebidet design is based on body measurements, not necessarily BMI. If the buttocks are quite large, it is important to be able to comfortably spread the cheeks when putting the Carebidet Diaper Cup on to make sure the entire area is thoroughly cleansed. If there is too little skin, it may feel uncomfortable. Spacers can be added to the Carebidet Diaper Cup to extend the measurements, but its basic curvature cannot be made smaller.

Yes, but it depends on the size of the child or teen.

Their body must be able to accommodate the Carebidet Diaper Cup which rests on top of the sacrum and curves up around the groin; and the Motion Control Wrap which encircles the waist and comfortably holds the Carebidet Diaper Cup that interfaces to the body in place.

The Carebidet is especially helpful in these situations where a user cannot let their caregiver know they need to toilet. The Carebidet automatically senses when urination or defecation begins, and it automatically starts the cleansing and drying cycle when toileting is finished.

Yes!

With male users, it’s important to understand whether they have a large, small, or average size penis. The Male Gender Module can only accommodate penis sizes in the average and slightly larger than average range. In some cases, males with a smaller than average penis can use the female Gender Module. There is no need to determine the size of the female vulva or outer part of the female genitals.

If the bed confined dementia user is prone to sudden movement or often tries to remove their adult brief/adult brief, they are not a good candidate for Carebidet. If the Carebidet Diaper Cup is not correctly put on the patient, the device may not work properly as there might be leakage problems. It’s always best to ask the physician whose care they are under to make a recommendation.

A user’s continence is not arestriction. It works regardless of whether the user can or cannot feel
the urge to empty their bladder and or bowels.

Ithas been confirmed that the use of a Carebidet robot for fecal and urinary incontinence care is effective in reducing the incidence of incontinence associated dermatitis ("IAD"), pressure injury/ulcer risk ("PI/PU"), decreased lymphocytes, improvedserum albumin levels and improving physiological indicators in critically ill patients.

As long as the patient feels comfortable when the Carebidet DiaperCup is correctly put on and the device runs normally. Carebidet can actually aid in improving and resolving adult brief rash because it keeps the groin area
clean and dry.

It depends on what type of contracture the user has and how severe it is. If the caregiver can attach the Carebidet Diaper Cup comfortably to the user, it is perfectly safe to use the device. In this situation it is especially important to make sure the Carebidet Diaper Cup fits snuggly and comfortably with the user’s body.

Black Waste Container - There is a black waste container which holdsthe excretion (feces and urine). There is an audible alarm that the Carebidet sounds to notify the caregiver that the black waste container is 75% full and that it needs to be changed. The audible alarm will continue to sound until the black waste container reaches 90% at which point the Carebidet puts itself into
the ‘standby mode’. To empty the black waste container, all that needs to be done is lift the lid, pull up the black waste container, unscrew the large cap, and empty the excretion down the toilet. 

White Water Container - There is a white water container that is aseasy to remove from the Carebidet as is the black waste container that needs to have water refilled when the audible alarm on the Carebidet signals that it needs to be refilled. In the event that the white water container is 10% empty, the Carebidet will put itself into the ‘standby mode’. 

Odor Reduction - The are multiple filters and a UV light that does the workof greatly reducing odors from the excretion. 

Daily Disinfection - Once a day, there is a disinfectant available to use alongsidethe disinfection cycle of the Carebidet. Disinfecting the Carebidet is super easy and once the disinfectant liquid is put into the Carebidet Diaper Cup, the disinfection cycle is automated and an audible alarm notifies the caregiver that it is done.

Silicon Human Interface Cushion - There is a silicon human interface cushionthat can be easily removed from the Carebidet Diaper Cup and cleaned with warm water and alcohol or other disinfectant, and then placed back on the Carebidet Diaper Cup. 

Cleaning of the Carebidet - The cleaning of the Carebidet is simple isstraightforward. Aside from dumping the excretion that is in the black waste container into the toilet and flushing, it is recommended that the main lid that is on the black waste container is removed once weekly and the inside washed with warm water and soap, then allowed to air dry. 

Audible Alarms and Screen - There are multiple audible alarms ifsomething goes wrong with the Carebidet, and there is a screen to notify you of what exactly is the issue that may be occurring. 

Cost of Maintenance, Service, Consumables, and Parts - The cost to maintainthe machine is nothing more than 1 hour max per day and 1 extra hour per week. We offer a 36-month maintenance and repair, and consumables and parts contract, so that the complete operation is headache free. The daily cost of the maintenance, service, consumables, and parts program is approximately $10 per day. However, the various consumables can be purchased as per the designated replacement cycle. With very little training a staff member can easily change out the consumables (deodorization filter (ever 6 months), water filter (ever 12 months), UV light (ever 24 months), and Carebidet Diaper Cup (every 30 months). 

Power Voltage and Back-Up - The Carebidet operates in 110-240V automatic switching, and for back-up, we recommend connecting the Carebidet to a battery that can be connected to the wall. The Carebidet consumes very little power so in an event of a power outage, a back-up lithium battery can keep the Carebidet operating for 24-72 hours.

COHealth has been able to devise a leasing program that allows you to take advantage of the Carebidet for $30 - $40 per day*. That's less than the cost of professional adult brief care. If you prefer to purchase the Carebidet outright and save the leasing costs, the price of the complete Carebidet Kit is $19,500. You also some consumables such as the deodorization filter (every 6 months), water filter (every 12 months), UV light (every 24 months), and a new Diaper Cup (every 30 months), but we offer a 3 year maintenance, repair, and consumables program as well which doesn’t exceed $10 per day.
